Inked

I’ve wanted a {tattoo} since I was about 16 years old.  My parents, my brother and my sister each have at least one tattoo.  Well, I am now 25 and after close to 10 years I can officially say I’ve crossed another item off of my bucket list!  Over the weekend I got my first tattoo:

Eiffel

My new ink (which is on the inside of my right ankle) represents my love for all things French.  I love the language, the culture, the food.  I started taking French classes in summer school as a child – I now have a minor in French and studied abroad in France for 6 weeks while in college.  {Paris} had always been a dream of mine.  My tattoo reminds me of the feeling I got the first time I saw the Eiffel Tower – pure joy, breathtaking, a {dream literally come true}.  Etoile (*star*) is my favorite painting by French Impressionist, Edgar Degas, and as the painting depicts, to me it represents singular, shining, confident, breaking free from from the noise and {standing out}.
